Meet my sweet pretty Muffin...

Hello people! Meet my sweet pretty Muffin. Muffin is a Japanese Spitz dog and she is now 4 years old. She got nice thick white shiny hair. She has 3 brothers namely: Kobie, Cyrus and Simba (died when he was 2 years old). Muffin parent’s name is Bingo and Cookie. Muffin loves to eat and sleep. She also loves to play with her brothers. She usually wakes me up in the morning. She is really attentive when I am talking to her. She even sometimes replies my question in barking and smiling. Muffin likes to be pampered; she loves massage especially in her head and back. We love them so much and treated them as part of our family.

That’s all for now, about my sweet Muffin. I’ll be posting more on updates about Muffin and her family every now and then…

My Big Pimples...

I got big pimples on my face! Oh God I feel I’m so ugly… How I wish I can make those disappear right away. I don’t have class today and so I decided to visit my derma clinic and have my facial… I think the last time I visited my dermatologist was 3 months back. I’m so busy at school doing a lot of projects, assignments and group studies as well. Somehow I am feeling better now; white heads and black heads are extracted out of my face. The dermatologist got nice soft hands, and I can really feel it as she massage my face. She also applied different types of creams and antibiotics. How I wish I got those pimple free face and soft skin… ):

All about Japanese Spitz

The Japanese Spitz is a small, completely white, breed of dog that is thought to have been bred from the German Spitz for smallness beginning in the late 19th century in Japan. They were introduced to the United States in the 1950s. It is very similar to the American Eskimo Dog, and German Spitz, in size, overall appearance, and temperament.

An adult Japanese Spitz typically weighs 5 to 10 kg, and stands at 32 to 38 cm off of the ground at the withers. Their coats are divided into 2 layers. The outer layer consists of long straight hair standing off from the body, used for insulating against fluctuating temperatures. The under layer consists of short, soft and dense fur that is always a pure white color. The tail is covered with long hair and is carried curled over the back. The coat is short on the bottom half of the legs and has feathering on the forelegs. The dryness of their coat makes it virtually free of odor. The ears are small and pointed upright, and the muzzle tapers slightly. The large oval eyes are dark and slightly slanted, and the nose and lips are black. The face of the Japanese Spitz is wedge-shaped.

The Japanese Spitz is first and foremost a companion. They thrive on human contact and attention, preferring to be a member of the family. They are intelligent, playful, alert, and obedient, excellent with children and have the patience for toddlers. Japanese Spitz are highly compatible with other dogs and animals, as well as being proud, affectionate, loyal and very protective of their masters. Most Japanese Spitz are good watch dogs as they are always alert, and will announce the presence of intruders to their owners with loud and forceful barking. They will not hesitate to bark at new people until they get to know them.

Japanese Spitz enjoy being in an outdoor environment. However it is inappropriate if the owner expects them to live outside in the yard and to be forgotten about. Such treatment will cause them to feel rejected and will inevitably lead to boredom and depression. Consequences include behavioral problems such as barking and destructiveness.

The Human Body

My friend gave this book to me - Human Body: An Illustrated to Every Part of Human Body and How It works by Marty Page (Editor). It is very helpful specially in my studies as a nursing student and my brother who's currently having his review for RN Licensure Exam is also using this. It has two separate sections - the first part is all about anatomy and physiology in normality, and a smaller section at the back gives basic explanations for a number of disease states. I like this book because it has large size of drawings. You can clearly see even up to the small portion of a part. This book has everything you need with the entire body laid out in simple terms. It is an easy to carry book with a lot of colored pictures. Buy now! $12.24 only.

Trip to Duka Bay Resort

This place is called Duka Bay Resort, located at Medina, Misamis Oriental, Philippines. Estimated travel time is 1 hour from Cagayan de Oro City. Duka has a nice sandy shore, large ancestral trees, and a breathtaking view of the bay and to the island of Camiguin. Duka means "sleepy" in English and "antok" in Tagalog. I’m sure you will love the place truly a nice view and a calm soothing one. I did enjoy a lot during my visit at Duka Bay Resort. I and my friends had seen a lot of fishes of different colors and sizes, beautiful coral reefs which we observed during our boat glass tripping that lasted for 1 hour.
